Our story

A family business. A Cardiff constant.

Our story began with Doug’s father, a professional photographer with his own studio. Doug went on to take over a camera shop, and our family’s connection with photography has continued ever since.

The names above the door have changed, from Camera Centre Cardiff through Photo Vision and Photo Market to Camera Centre UK. The independent spirit has stayed the same.

Today Doug’s sons, Nick and Terry, run the business, with Nick’s son Mason part of the Cardiff team. We help first time film shooters, students and experienced photographers alike.

A Camera Centre stamped camera warranty records a sale in December 1980.

Drop off a roll. Pick up your prints.

Bring your film to our Morgan Arcade counter during opening hours. We’ll take the details and create your lab order. Collect prints and negatives from the same shop once we’ve told you they’re ready.

Morgan Arcade is pedestrianised, with entrances from St Mary Street and The Hayes.

Quick drop off & pick up

Bakers Row, CF10 1AL, is the nearby access lane for a quick visit. Allow about 1 to 2 minutes to walk to the shop. The local stopping limit is 20 minutes. Always check the current signs and restrictions before stopping; this is not a reserved customer parking space.
