Film developing for the whole of Wales
There are very few working film labs left in Wales, and fewer still that develop colour, black & white and slide film themselves. We do all three in Cardiff. Drop in at Morgan Arcade if you're nearby, or post your rolls from anywhere in the country and follow every stage in your own online gallery.
Getting your film to us from Wales
South Wales — drop in
Cardiff, Newport, Barry, Bridgend and the Valleys are an easy train or drive into the city centre. We're two minutes from St David's, inside the Morgan Arcade.
West Wales — post it
Swansea, Llanelli, Carmarthen, Pembrokeshire: a padded envelope usually reaches us the next working day, and tracked is worth it for anything irreplaceable.
Mid and north Wales — post it
Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, Bangor, Wrexham and the coast are one to two working days each way, so there's no need to drive down the A470 with a bag of film.
Clubs and courses
Photography societies, colleges and university courses across Wales send batches in together — one parcel, one postage cost, each roll logged separately.

C-41, hand-processed black & white and genuine wet E-6 all run on site in Cardiff. Nothing is forwarded to a processor in England, so there's one journey in and one journey back.
Scanned for Welsh weather
We get a lot of overcast coast, mountain and valley work. Scans are made flat enough to hold detail in cloud and shadow rather than crushing it, and you can ask for a rescan if a roll needs a different read.

Wales film developing FAQs
- Do you develop film for the whole of Wales?
- Yes. Cardiff, Swansea and Newport customers often drop in, but rolls reach us by post from Aberystwyth, Bangor, Wrexham, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest and everywhere between. The service is identical either way.
- How long does post from mid or north Wales take?
- Usually one to two working days each way. Developing turnaround starts when your film is checked in at the lab, and we email you at each stage so you can see exactly where your rolls are.
- Is there anywhere in Wales that develops E-6 slide film?
- Very few places — we run genuine wet E-6 on site in Cardiff, alongside C-41 and hand-processed black & white, so slide film doesn't need to leave Wales.
- Can I get my negatives back?
- Yes. Collect them in Cardiff, or add return postage to your order and we'll send them back tracked. With a print order, negatives travel in the same parcel at no extra postage cost.
- Do you develop old or expired film?
- We do, including rolls found in a drawer years later. Tell us roughly how old it is if you know — results vary with age and storage, and we'll handle it accordingly rather than treating it as a fresh roll.
