Film developing for Swansea
Swansea, Mumbles, Gower and the Uplands are too far for a lunchtime drop-off — so post your film to our Cardiff lab instead. Pay online upfront, we develop and scan in house, and your photos land in a private gallery you can download from anywhere.
Getting your film to us from Swansea
Post it in (most Swansea customers)
Order online, note the reference on the package, and post from any Swansea post office. 1st class usually arrives next working day; tracked is recommended for important rolls.
Train from Swansea
Just under an hour to Cardiff Central on the mainline, then a short walk to Morgan Arcade if you'd rather hand it over in person.
Driving along the M4
Around 50 minutes to central Cardiff. Worth combining with a trip in if you're buying film or having gear valued.
Bulk rolls from a trip
Back from Gower with a bag of rolls? List them in one postal order and we'll log and scan each one separately under a single job.

Why Swansea shooters use us
Coastal film, handled properly
A lot of Swansea work is Gower coastline, surf and long-exposure seascapes. We scan to keep highlight detail in surf and cloud instead of blowing it out.
No lab queue in Swansea? Use the post
The postal service was built for exactly this — upfront online payment, a unique reference on the parcel, and email confirmation the moment your film is checked in.
Same prices as in store
Postal developing uses our normal in-store price list. The only extras are postage for returning prints or negatives.
Store film safely before posting
Our Shooting School covers heat, humidity and airport scanners — useful if your rolls have been sat in a car after a weekend on the Gower.

Swansea film developing FAQs
- Is posting film from Swansea worth it?
- It's how most of our Swansea customers work. Order online, write your reference on the parcel and post it to 14–16 Morgan Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1AF — a 1st class parcel typically arrives the next working day, which beats an hour each way on the M4.
- Can you develop black and white and slide film?
- Yes — C-41 colour, black & white and E-6 slide are all handled in house, along with 35mm, 120 and disposables. Cross-processing and expired film can be flagged in your order notes.
- How do I get my scans?
- Scans are published to a private online gallery on your account. You download the full-resolution files yourself — Premium accounts keep them stored for longer.
- Will you send my negatives back to Swansea?
- Yes. Choose return postage when you order, and if you've also bought prints the negatives come back in the same parcel at no extra charge.
