E-6 slide film developing in the UK
E-6 is disappearing from the UK. Most labs stopped years ago — the chemistry is temperamental, the volume is niche, and cross-processing in C-41 is easier. We still run genuine wet E-6 at our Cardiff lab because slide film is worth doing properly. Fuji Velvia 50 and 100, Provia 100F, Kodak Ektachrome E100 — 35mm and 120, developed on-site and scanned in-house on scanners profiled for slide.

Frequently asked questions
Do you actually run E-6 in-house?
Yes. Genuine wet E-6 chemistry is run on-site at our Cardiff lab — not cross-processed in C-41 and not shipped to a partner. There are only a handful of E-6 labs left in the UK and we're one of them.
Which slide stocks do you develop?
Fuji Velvia 50, Velvia 100, Provia 100F and Kodak Ektachrome E100 in both 35mm and 120. If it's box-labelled 'Process E-6', we'll run it.
Can I post my slide film to you from anywhere in the UK?
Yes — postal customers make up most of our E-6 work. Wrap your rolls with your name and email address and post to Camera Centre UK, 14–16 Morgan Arcade, Cardiff, CF10 1AF. We recommend Royal Mail 1st class Signed For.
How long does E-6 take?
E-6 is run in batches, so turnaround is typically 5–7 working days from when we receive your film. Larger jobs can be quicker — call the shop if you're on a deadline.
Do you scan slide film too?
Yes. Every roll is scanned in-house on our lab scanners with a profile tuned for slide film — colours and highlights hold up the way Velvia and Provia are meant to look. Scans go straight to a private gallery in your customer portal.
