Newport
Film developing for Newport
Newport doesn't have a working film lab of its own — so rolls from Maindee, Caerleon, Rogerstone and the city centre come to us in Cardiff. Post them in or bring them along the M4, and we develop, scan and deliver them to your own online gallery.
Getting your film to us from Newport
Post it in
A padded envelope from any Newport post office usually reaches Morgan Arcade the next working day. Tracked is worth it for anything irreplaceable.
Train from Newport station
Around 15–30 minutes into Cardiff Central, then a 6-minute walk through the arcades to our counter.
Driving in
Straight down the M4 to junction 29 or 32 — park at St David's or Westgate Street and we're two minutes into the Morgan Arcade.
Dropping several rolls
Bundle them with a note of what each roll is, or list them in your postal order — we log every roll separately so scans stay grouped.

Why Newport shooters use us
One lab, no outsourcing
Your film is developed and scanned by the same team in Cardiff. It isn't posted onward to another processor, so there's one journey in and one journey back.
Built for the Wetlands and the Transporter Bridge
Newport shooters bring us a lot of grey-day landscape and industrial work. We scan flat enough to keep detail in bridge ironwork and estuary skies rather than crushing it.
Every stage tracked
Because Newport customers usually post, you get email updates as your order moves — received, developing, scanning, gallery live — so you're never guessing where a roll is.
Prints and negatives together
Order prints and we can return your negatives in the same parcel with no extra postage, which saves a second trip down the M4.

Newport film developing FAQs
- Can I post film from Newport instead of travelling in?
- Yes. Place a postal order online, write the reference number on the package and send it to 14–16 Morgan Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1AF. A 1st class or tracked parcel from Newport normally reaches us the next working day.
- How long does developing take once you have my film?
- Turnaround starts when your film is checked in at the lab, not when you post it. We'll email you when it arrives, when it's developed and again when your scans are live in your gallery.
- Do I get my negatives back?
- Yes — you can collect them in Cardiff, or choose return postage with your order and we'll send them back. If you're also having prints, negatives travel with the prints at no extra cost.
- Do you develop disposable cameras from Newport?
- We do. Single-use cameras are opened and processed in house, so you can post the whole camera in — no need to try to unload it yourself.
Create your account first
Orders are written up by our lab team, so set up an account and your rolls, scans and gallery all appear in one place — with an email at every stage.
