Film developing in Cardiff
Camera Centre UK is Cardiff's independent film lab. We develop 35mm, 120, 110 and APS colour negative (C-41), black & white and E-6 slide film in our Morgan Arcade darkroom — just off St Mary Street, five minutes' walk from Cardiff Central station. Every roll is scanned in-house, published to a private online gallery, and available as prints. Nothing gets sent to a third-party lab. Nothing leaves the building until it's back in your hands.

How our Cardiff film developing works
- 1. Drop off or post in. Bring your rolls to 14–16 Morgan Arcade or post them to the same address. If it's your first time, sign up for a free account first so we can attach the order to you.
- 2. We book it in. Our lab team logs each roll against your account with the film type, format and any push/pull requests. You'll get a booking confirmation the same day.
- 3. Develop & scan in-house. We run C-41, B&W and E-6 chemistry on-site, then scan every frame on our lab scanners. No outsourcing.
- 4. Gallery goes live. You get an email the moment your scans are ready, with a link to a private online gallery. Download originals, order prints, or share a view-only link with friends.
- 5. Negatives back to you. Collect your negatives at the shop or add postal return at checkout.
Turnaround and what you get back
Standard turnaround at our Cardiff lab is 3–5 working days from the moment we receive your film. You'll get an email at every stage: booked in, scanning, and when your gallery is ready. Scans are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs to a private gallery in your customer portal, plus your negatives returned at the shop (or by post if you prefer). Why local matters for film
Most high-street options in Cardiff ship your film out of Wales for processing — usually to a central lab in the Midlands or further — which is why you can wait two to three weeks for scans. We're a proper wet lab: chemistry runs daily, scanners are in the back room, and the person developing your film is the same person you can talk to at the counter. If a frame looks off, we can walk over and check the negative with you. That's not something you get from a post-and-hope service.

Five minutes on foot from Cardiff Central, ten from Queen Street. Nearest parking is NCP Westgate Street or NCP St David's. How long does film developing take in Cardiff?

How much does it cost to develop a roll of film in Cardiff?

What film formats can you develop?
We develop 35mm, 120 (medium format), 110 and APS. Our chemistry covers C-41 colour negative, traditional black & white and E-6 slide film. Slide film (E-6) is done in-house — a rare service in South Wales.
Can I post my film to you from outside Cardiff?
Yes. Customers post film to us from Newport, Swansea, Bridgend, Barry, Penarth, Caerphilly, Pontypridd and across the UK. Wrap your rolls in a padded envelope with your name and email address and post to Camera Centre UK, 14–16 Morgan Arcade, Cardiff, CF10 1AF. We recommend Royal Mail 1st class Signed For.
Do you scan the film as well as develop it?
Yes — every roll is scanned in-house on our lab scanners. Scans are uploaded to a private gallery in your customer portal so you can view, download and share them the moment they're ready. No third-party lab, no waiting for a disc in the post.

Can I get prints from my film?
Yes. We offer 6×4, 7×5, 10×8 and larger prints from your negatives or from your scans. Prints are made in-house so you can pick them up at the shop or add them to a postal return.
Do you develop disposable cameras?
