Photo storage & retention policy

Free accounts

• • Once your scans are published to your account, you have 30 days to download them.
• • As soon as you download any photo (either a single file or the full ZIP), a shorter clock starts: your scans are deleted 7 days after that first download.
• • Whichever clock ends sooner is the one that applies.
• • Need longer? You can pay £5.99 per gallery to keep it for another 14 days, as many times as you like, from the gallery page in your account.
• • After deletion the gallery record stays in your history, so you'll always see that a job existed, just without the photos.

Premium Photo Storage

• • Your scans are kept indefinitely for as long as your subscription is active.
• • If your subscription ends or a payment fails, you have 30 days to download everything before your galleries are deleted.
• • You'll receive advance warning reminders in your account and by email as each deadline approaches (7 and 1 days out).

Physical negatives

• • When we contact you to say your negatives or prints are ready, we keep them in store for 30 days.
• • You can see how long you have left in My film orders, and we send a reminder when 7 days remain.
• • Need more time? Ask for a 14 or 30 day extension from your account or by contacting the shop.
• • Negatives not collected after the collection period and any extension are safely recycled or disposed of.

Reminders

Every customer receives escalating reminders before anything is deleted in your Dashboard, on the gallery itself, in your Messages, and by email. You can always ask us to hold on to your photos longer by getting in touch.
