UK-wide postal lab
Film developing across the UK
Camera Centre UK is a real photography store and film lab in Cardiff — and you don't need to be local to use it. Order online, post your rolls, and we develop, scan and deliver them to your own private gallery, wherever in the UK you shoot.
How UK postal developing works
1. Order online
Choose your formats, developing options and scan resolution, then pay securely. You get a unique reference number straight away.
2. Post your film
Write the reference on the package and send it to Camera Centre UK, 14–16 Morgan Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1AF.
3. We develop and scan
Everything is processed and scanned by our own team in Cardiff — nothing is outsourced to another lab.
4. Scans in your gallery
You are emailed when your gallery is live. Download, share, order prints or keep them stored long term.

UK film developing FAQs
- Can I send film from anywhere in the UK?
- Yes. We take postal film developing orders from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You pay online first, then post your rolls to the lab with your reference number written on the package.
- How much does film developing cost in the UK?
- Our postal prices mirror our in-store prices, so you are not charged a premium for ordering online. Develop-and-scan starts from our standard 35mm rate, with medium format, black & white and E-6 priced per roll on the pricing page.
- How long does postal film developing take?
- Turnaround begins when your film is booked in at the lab, not when you post it. Most orders are developed and scanned within a few working days, and you get an email at every stage — received, developing, scanning, gallery live.
- How should I package film for posting?
- Use a padded envelope or small box, keep rolls in their canisters or a zip bag, and write your order reference clearly on the outside. Tracked postage is worth it for anything irreplaceable.
- Do I get my negatives back?
- Yes. Choose return postage at checkout and we will send your negatives back. If you also order prints, your negatives travel in the same parcel at no extra cost.
- How do I get my scans?
- Every order lands in your own online gallery. Download full-resolution files, build contact sheets, order prints, and keep everything long term with our optional premium storage plan.
